Utrecht Weekend Tips 20, 21 & 22 September

This week it’s a mix of tips for the coming weekend. Comedy on Friday to forget all your worries with the Comedy Club at De Kargadoor. Music on Sunday at LE:EN, then maybe a nice bite to eat. Take the kids to festival Snor and start Sunday with a relaxed yoga session at Strand Oog in Al. Various activities and so the weekend as far as I’m concerned can start.

Comedy Club

A good start of the weekend! The Comedy Club offers the best stand-up comedians in the Netherlands in one dazzling show. Um! Well, you can experience that on Friday night. In the cozy basement of De Kargadoor, after ordering a beer you can sit down for the show. Don’t like it? Plenty of pubs and cozy tapas bars nearby. 😉

Yoga at SOIA

Start the Saturday with a nice yoga class? That is possible at Strand Oog in Al for sure. If the weather is nice, you have lessons on the roof terrace of SOIA, then you can have tea and start the day. The class is open to everyone, so don’t freak out if you’ve never taken a yoga class before. Registration via: christa@yogavida.nl.

Live music at LE:EN

On Sunday afternoon the Swedish band The Bland will play their first show in the Netherlands. And then at LE:EN! I can’t think of a better start of a career. The members of the Swedish indiepop band ‘The Bland’ have met New Zealand. After a while they decided to continue together and in August they released their first album. On Sunday you can listen to cheerful and light-hearted songs that are a combination of 60’s influences and modern Indiepop. DJ Splinter plays soul/jazzy tunes between performances. During the live session you can order Asian fusion bites.

Sunday at: 15.15
FREE (performance)

It’s time for the snor festival again. This time again at the Nijverheid, a creative breeding ground. Expect book launches, gifts, sales of vintage and art. Workshops: learn ukulele games, paper mosaics, silkscreens and magic tricks. But also face painting, juggling and tightrope walking at Circus Moustache.
