PERMANENT DESTRUCTION is back with the second part of their theatrical concert series: The HM Concert. This time the concert is dominated by feminist terrorism. Theatre-maker and performer Naomi Velissariou was inspired by the work of the German playwright Heiner Müller.
Theatrical concert in De Paardenkathedraal
The concert series started with the first show: The SK Concert. PERMANENT DESTRUCTION was praised by the press for its daring combination of sharp lyrics, danceable melodies, and pounding beats.
For the second part, the work of playwright Heiner Müller has been dissected and transformed into an expressive concert. The performance by the pop-up band PERMANENT DESTRUCTION is given extra vigor by the visuals of photographer and visual artist Jan Hoek.
You can experience the daring end product from 5 to 8 February 2020, from 21:00 to 22:00 in De Paardenkathedraal in Utrecht!
Dancing to the rhythm of pain
The HM Concert gives radical expression to themes such as misogyny, sexism and feminist extremism. In the present time, expressing negative feelings is not desirable. Does life really revolve around the picture-perfect life?
PERMANENT DESTRUCTION makes room for expressing ugly feelings by dancing them away to the rhythm of music. Face the confrontation with yourself, be uncompromising and feel liberated.
We from Explore Utrecht will experience the concert and will report extensively via Instagram. Follow us for a sneak peek behind the scenes with PERMANENT DESTRUCTION.
