Yum Saap asian street food

Sometimes I can really have a craving for Asian food. I’m not so familiar with this cuisine when it comes to home cooking so that’s why I like to choose a new restaurant where I can enjoy it. And this time that was Yum Saap at the Twijnstraat. A real asian street food bar, a deep, narrow space with one wall a whole bunch tables and on the other wall some tables, the bar and the kitchen.

For drinks do order the homemade thai iced tea or spritzer, delicious and refreshing! Or of course a Singha or Tiger beer. The food order works like this: You get the menu and a list where you can fill in which dishes you want to order. The most fun (and tastiest) is to share dishes with your dinner party. You should count on about three dishes per person, if you take a curry, two dishes. We ordered: spring roll with crunchy vegetables, fried spring rolls, shrimp dumplings, tom kah kai soup (my favorite), salad with cabbage, coconut, chicken and a tasty dressing and fish cookies. Fingerlicking good! Do not expect to sit down dining here all night, but for a nice and quick bite it’s perfect. Besides, you can also pick up food!

Next to tasteless Singha and Tiger Yum Saap also serves Broeders, a locally brewed craft beer by vandeStreek which complements flavours in stead of rinsing them out! And awesome place indeed!
