City Spa at Wittevrouwen
Five City Spa is a hidden gem, located in the upscale neighborhood Wittevrouwen. To welcome their guests to a world of relaxation, Five City Spa features four treatment rooms, among which a special duet treatment room. At this urban spa you can enjoy some time alone but also opt for a due treatment. After very busy and even more hectic weeks ahead I was very happy when I received an email inviting my over to Five City Spa for facial and massage.
Your time of indulgent start as soon as you enter the spa. It’s all about you! The hostess gives you a information sheet to fill out not only with questions such your name, address and email but you also get to pick a scented massage oil, music and tea flavor. After choosing lavender oil, film music and chamomile tea, the masseuse guided me to the treatment room.
Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage
The minimalistic room was warm and welcoming, soft film music wafted around the room and I started to relax even more. My masseuse used strong, deliberate strokes up and across my back and shorter strokes and kneading on my neck and shoulders with the lavender oil. This way of treatment is unique to Five City Spa and is lovely in every way. This was the best massage I’ve had in recent years, magic happened because I fell as sleep about 10 minutes into the massage.
Instant Detox
After I slipped back into my comfy outfit in was time for the detox facial. My facialist asked me about my skin issues before leaving me to lay back and relax on the comfortable bed covered in towels. The Instant Detox treatment has a cleansing and detoxifying effect on the skin and at the same time it calms inflammation. This treatment is to restore your skin and give collagen a boost. Enough with the specifics! My skin needed some rejuvenation and brightening up since I neglect it when my calendar gets crazy. Side Note: the ‘no peep peeling’ was excellent. Normally peeling feels like torture but for the first time is was quite pleasant.
Five City Spa works with products from Perricone MD. This healthy product line improves damaged skin and slows down the signs of aging. Post-treatment, my skin felt silky smoothie, polished and buffed.
Look no further for treatments that truly relaxes both body and mind, and give a change to catch up on some sleep. I do recommend Five City Spa for luxurious treatments and a day of indulgent. I enjoyed every minute of my visit.
