Speck Bar & Grill on Ledig Erf

My mum doesn’t like it and my boyfriend can only condone it when thoroughly baked: Bacon! On a personal note, you could wake me up for it in the middle of the night. A very good motivator to go to Ledig Erf square for once. For a while now, Speck Bar & Grill is located here. When the sun is shining abundantly you can have a seat on the terrace and inside you’ll enjoy the rustic interior. Have a look at the cabinet where the meat is hanging to ripen, it’s interesting! They grill the dry aged bio meat, as they themselves say, to perfection.

Plate to start and more on the menu

Out of curiosity and my love for charcuterie I order the plate with different meats and appetizers. A wine on the side. We’re sitting at the bar at the window, a nice place to overlook the square and enjoy the sun. When the waitress approaches us with the “plate” my jaw drops. It is huge! A plate? A whole dinner-set full of meat. I truly recommend it!

There are different kinds of meat on the menu, which you should take your time for, the portions are royal. All derived from the love of meat, you can see and taste it. If you would like to try some different meats at once, try the Speck tasting! All the products are from the Groene Slagerij Gerrit Takke (organic), so your diner is animal friendly too. Maybe you are in the mood for something that swims, in that case you’ll find the ‘catch of the day’ on the menu as well. But the meat hanging on the hooks, are quite inviting to putt your teeth in some juicy cow butt. Have yourself a nice meal!
