Atelier Ohlala is located in the heart of Utrecht, in a building on the Kintgenshaven, on an inconspicuous side street off Neude. It’s obviously a beautiful building, but it’s hidden, so it’s easy to walk right past the boutique. Which is a shame, since Atelier Ohlala’s collection is full of beautiful things to feast your eyes on.
They really have a bit of everything! Jewellery, perfumes, teddy bears, slippers, mugs, cushions, candles, figurines, and other beautiful interior accessories. Atelier Ohlala mainly sells products from creative and exclusive brands. Think Keith Brymer Jones, Ortigia, Les Douzetiquez, and Le Tigre de Mer.
In addition, a large part of the collection consists of products from Ohlala’s own label. The owner, Marjolein Meulendijks, designs cards, leather notebooks, tote bags, handmade Moroccan accessories, and lots more. She has a background in styling, decoration, and illustration, and you can really see that in the store’s decor and products.
I’m personally crazy about the Keith Brymer Jones mugs and the Ohlala cards, but the large selection of silver and gold jewellery really makes my heart beat faster. Sorry gentlemen, Ohlala is really a women’s boutique. But if you want to get a nice present for your girlfriend, mother, or sister, you’re sure to find something there. The prices are diverse, so you determine how expensive to make it.
