Restaurant suggestions for Valentine’s day

Whether you like it or not, Valentine’s day is coming up fast. So if you’re planning to partake in the festivities, now’s the time to start thinking about reservations (not to stress you out or anything!). To help you on your way, I’ve compiled a little list of Valentine-worthy restaurants with good ambiance and great food that’ll be sure to impress you and your special someone – any day of the year.

Danel

Seeing la vie en rose this Valentine’s Day? Then what could be more fitting than French food? With its small-plates concept, Danel gives you the chance to taste (and share!) a variety of French classics – think scallops in burnt butter sauce, ratatouille, and – of course – snails. Throw in some French wine and you’re golden. Our full review is here.

De Rode Vosch

For a wonderful, laid-back and buzzing atmosphere and great Australian food & wines, check out De Rode Vosch. They serve up slightly smaller portions, so you and your date can order a few mains (averaging 8-12 euros) plus some sides to share, and spend the evening trying out unique Aussie foods, like kangaroo and ostrich!
