Playground for grownups at Smeerboel

Smeerboel (a big mess). For some people that might sound like a nightmare, for others it sounds like a good night out. For me it reminds me of an amazing summer day 3 years ago, when dancing knees deep in the mud at a festival named Smeerboel! This year I get to go back and get my feet dancing again with Explore Utrecht at this playground for grownups.

Much of the line-up is still a secret, but with headliners like Joris Voorn, Kölsch, DJ Rush, SingleFeestje, Kriss Kross Amsterdam and FeestDJRuud, Smeerboel promises to be great party. Both musically and creatively Smeerboel is promising and diverse. A place where everyone can forget their worries for a day and let go. Apart from all of that there’s even more to come, even a creative village. What this will entail is still a surprise, but nothing is too crazy for Smeerboel!

When I was last there, you could find hot tubs, hammocks and a lot of sexy surprises in the creative village. Coverd in mud and brightly colored paint powders I came home with exhausted feet and a big smile. I’m already looking forward to come play at Smeerboel once more!
