Amsterdam based concept store Hutspot in Utrecht
Hutspot is an unique concept store, with two locations in Amsterdam, that offers creative talent a platform to display and sell their products. The owners: Nick van Aalst, Pieter Jongens and Reinier Bernaert, decided it was time to take the concept to Utrecht and opened a store near the Neude. The building located on the Vinkenburgstraat, where the DE Cafè was housed, has been refurbished into a gorgeous looking shop with a cafe and terrace.
My first acquaintance with Hutspot was of course in Amsterdam for a private dinner at the shop located on the van Woustraat. Entering the shop it was love at first sight. The second level with the vintage items and the small corner cafe were lovely. It stayed with one visit but I guess that was for the best, because I wanted almost everything item in the shop. So if you ask me, Hutspot is a welcome addition to the Utrecht shop landscape.
Hutspot offers a simple and beautiful collection for women and men. Brands you will find at the shop: Won Hundred, Ontour, Wood Wood, Native North, Selected, Ace & Tate, Suit and much more. The concept store also offers interior items, nice presents and books. Hutspot gives creatives the possibility to exhibit their talents. A collaboration with the HKU is one of the possibilities they are looking into. Hutspot has a creative vibe that is mainly due to the presentation of esthablished brands and new brands, designers and artists.
Hutspot organises events such as dinners, live performances and exhibitions at the shop. So if you want to keep an eye out for any events, follow the Facebook page.
