Restaurant week is coming up! From the 28th of August until the 7th of September you can book a table at several fine restaurants in Utrecht. This is your chance to try that one restaurant that has been on your ‘to visit list’ for a while for a great price. During the restaurant week restaurants offer a three course dinner, sometimes even with an addition side order. All of this for a reasonable price. Great promotion for restaurants and a perfect opportunity for guests. So which restaurant should you go to? I picked 3x restaurant week restaurants by ExploreUtrecht City Experts for you!
Don’t expect standard dishes at the Vaartsche Rijn! The chef takes you on a tasty discovery of ingredients, you will be amazed. The team that runs the restaurant is very young but they know what hospitality is all about. The staff takes time to tell you about the dishes, ingredients as well as wines. The chef also walks through the restaurant regularly to tell the guests more about the dishes. The atmosphere is friendly and very informal. Read the review by Lotte: Vaartsche Rijn
Brasserie Bresson is a bit of Paris in Utrecht. This grand France restaurant is located on a prime location, along the Oudegracht. The interior is black and white, with a large black chesterfield sofa and gorgeous pictures of French artists on the wall. The tiles on the floor add a touch of color and a more country style feel.
Bresson has a very great lunch menu and you can even chose the plat du jour. Also the diner menu has dishes for different price ranges, so you can make your evening as inexpensive or expensive as you would like. Read the review by Dainahara: Bresson
Bis is all about flavors. Pure flavors, as it is meant to be. No difficult presentations, it’s all about the product. Bis is located across the excellent Bakery Bond & Smolders on the Lijnmarkt. The building where it’s located, is old, urban and small. If you are standing outside you will may think that you’re at a simple restaurant. But it’s everything but that! Besides a lovely diner, you can have a lunch or a high tea as well. So many reasons to visit Bis! Read the review by Samantha: Bis
